Duskblind [Unloved]

So like.

Occasionally they draw some of their duskblind hoomans, but usually the monsters. But it's usually like, the same 2 or 3 hyuminz.

Basically, not my favourite one. :c

I think at this point I may have drawn this character more times than they have. >w> (Twice.)

But I have a thing for freckle ladies, particularly the sets of 3 cheek ones. Really all she needs is glasses and I'd have to steal her.

I don't know her character at all, since uhh... they've only drawn her once. Haha. And all it says is she is a mage and she uses magic. But I like flat grumpy faces, so that's how I choose to draw her. Even though they tend to draw their characters with a slight smile. But whatever. Zhuhai prefers grumpy Skye.

I will say one thing though. I hate those boots. "Oh, they're gonna be easy to draw, three rectangles and a triangle! Easiest knees-down ever!" *50 times of redrawing the back leg later* "kaldkasjdkals".

Also, I forgot the Baneuge one was drawn laying down. But I didn't realize this until I went to find one of the two with grass so I could copy the grass colours, and since I saw that version most recently, it was my first result and then I was like "FFFF".

On the plus side, it made mimicking how they do their background grey-dark-grey circle thing a lot easier since... I just had to do the same thing they did with baneuge... Oh well. I also figured since they have the fancy little duskblind logo in the top left of all of theirs I would put that too, but also I should mark it too since I drewed this one. So I drew a Z. And then I drew a kind of fancier Z.

Originally planned to do the arcmage one instead of the littler wisp, but... I didn't feel he'd fit as well. The ice version of the wisp matches much better, since Skye has some icy blue parts.

Also I was gonna just copy the tome they did on one of their weapon things but... It's black and purple. So I decided to just make one up instead.

I drew the wisp's ball part of it's floaty mask with as a bit of a crecent shape as if it was an eye and it was making a happy face. It's not as obvious as I wanted it to be though... so I'm a little sad about that.

There's always a mistake I notice right before upload, which results in me having to fix it, which makes it not look entirely right since the whole picture was god dang done until JUST then... I uhh... had the hand on her cheek backwards, with the hand as a fist and the thumb of that fist facing towards us. Which it wouldn't, in that position. It would always be on the inside regardless of which hand they used. So damn it. So I drew that hand instead which makes the arm look longer than it should because I had to slide the hand up a good amount to not have the cheek get obscured super hard, hiding the face shape, which is important.

I'm also not happy with the wisp at all.

I tried lots of glows, very little, and settled on this. Not happy with him at all though. Only thing I like is the wispy glow going around him, and mostly because it took 4 seconds and didn't need to be redrawn... unlike literally everything else on him except the basic shape and position of his sleeves... which I love and feel came out perfectly how I wanted. Also the way the wispy wrap around slightly goes out of the circle I feel looks great.

I spent too long on this however, and so I'm not satisfied with how long it took me to get the result I did. Had I done it in less time, I'd be very pleased. Started at 9pm and finished at 1am. So like always... 4 hours...
